CASE DESCRIPTION |
The project is located in the south of Yanta district, Xi’an. The main city arterial roads in this planning area are: Dongyi Road, Zhuque Street, Chang’an South Road, Yan circle Road, West Main Road and the 3rd Ring Road. The advantage of traffic location is significant. With the rapid development of the city, the population, industry and jobs will agglomerate in the future. Huge need of commercial service platform and transportation hub is urgent in this area. The application of TOD concept can meet the development demands. The principle of the planning is dual-core traffic and three-dimensional transfer. Based on the planning analysis and development intensity analysis, combining the existing land of Xi’an Cheng Nan Coach Station, the terminal is defined as: a convenient traffic complex. Three-dimensional traffic will be built to achieve a seamless connection among passenger rail, bus, subway, taxi and other modes. In addition, office, hotel, residential, and other functions will be introduced combining with urban rail transit. Four points are proposed according to the planning: 1.Saving resources and make fully use of it ---- intensive use of land and form the stack of vertical space function; 2.Order traffic and rapid distribution ---- balance the traffic operation streamline settings based on the traffic flow; 3.Efficient transfer and convenient service ----- avoid the mixing of different traffic operation streamlines and guarantee the strong recognitionof streamlines; 4.Comprehensive development and traffic guide, use a three-dimensional space development and strengthen the guidance of traffic. |
