CASE DESCRIPTION

Weifang 95128 Ride-hailing Service Platform was completed and put into use in November 2017, and was upgraded in December 2020.

Considering specific people’s difficulty in taking taxi and traveling, Weifang 95128 Ride-hailing Service Platform adopts a variety of channels to reserve cars such as 24-hour ride-hailing telephone, mobile App, WeChat applet and WeChat official account, and has developed and applied the functions of WeChat applet and WeChat official account for ride-hailing service to enrich the citizens’ way of mobility by reserving a car and meet the car use demands of different populations at any time in any way.

After the 95128 platform was opened in Weifang, Weifang Municipal Transportation Bureau has publicized it widely via media and put up advertising posts and Wechat applet QR codes at eye-catching positions in main traffic hubs, aiming to guarantee the car use demands of passengers in special circumstances or extreme weather. Weifang Municipal Transportation Bureau also makes full use of the advertising spaces such as overhead lights, car bodies and interiors of cruise taxis to promote the 95128 brand, print promotional business cards, and distribute them to passengers at any time to carry out mobile publicity.

In addition, Weifang Municipal Transportation Bureau has fully played the role of process management and link control, and formulated perfect car access standards. Before registering cars on the 95128 platform, it is necessary to dock GPS data of car terminals, personal information of drivers and relevant data of affiliated companies with the platform, thus eliminating illegal situations such as discrepancy between drivers and cars, taking orders with private cars, etc., and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of drivers and passengers. The platform also docks with the cruise car dispatching and management platform of the city and provides data and theoretical support for handling passenger complaints.

KEY DATA

At present, the 95128 platform covers 2,262 cruise taxis in the downtown area of Weifang. 4,149 cruise taxi drivers registered on the platform, 372 cruise taxis in Zhucheng city registered on the platform, and 670 drivers registered on the platform. There are more than 2,000 orders received per day in the main urban area, of which there are about 800 orders by telephone ride-hailing and about 1,200 orders by applet. Since the beginning of this year, the total amount of orders received has reached nearly 300,000, with a success rate of 90.7%. The daily average order amount received in Zhucheng area is over 400, including over 80 orders by telephone and over 300 orders by applet.
