The Technical Requirements for the Selection of Vehicles Suitable for the Integrated Development of Passenger and Freight Transportation Combined Postal Services in Rural Areas was issued
Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Transport issued the Technical Requirements for the Selection of Vehicles Suitable for the Integrated Development of Passenger and Freight Transportation Combined Postal Services in Rural Areas (Trial) (hereinafter referred to as the Technical Requirements) to promote vehicles suitable for the integrated development of passenger and freight transportation combined postal services in rural areas.
It is learned that the Technical Requirements applies to vehicles used for transporting passengers and their luggage or consignments on non-expressway roads within a county-level administrative region or between neighboring counties. These vehicles, which are designed to primarily serve rural areas, must be 7-seat or larger M1, M2, or M3 class passenger vehicles (referred to as buses) with at least one endpoint of the route located in rural areas and primarily serving the travel needs of rural residents. According to the Technical Requirements, the length of the bus body should be greater than or equal to 4.8 meters and less than or equal to 9 meters. It must comply with the requirements of GB 1589, GB 7258, GB 13094, GB 17578, and GB 34655. B-class and III-class buses must also meet the requirements of JT/T 1094, JT/T 325, and JT/T 711. In addition, the Technical Requirements also specifies regulations regarding the design of luggage compartments and the storage areas for items inside the vehicles.
