The Standards System for Promoting High-quality Development of Comprehensive Transportation in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle was issued

Recently, the Standards System for Promoting High-quality Development of Comprehensive Transportation in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle (hereinafter referred to as the Standards System) was issued jointly by the Ministry of Transport, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the People’s Government of Chongqing Municipality, and the People’s Government of Sichuan Province.

Focusing on the needs in three areas, namely transport infrastructure connectivity, integrated transport services, and interconnected operation management, the Standards System covers 50 key standards. (28 regional collaborative local standards jointly initiated, developed, and issued by Chengdu and Chongqing and 22 national and industry standards aimed at encouraging pilot implementations and strengthening practical applications) The construction of the standard system is divided into two phases. By 2027, a standard system to promote the high-quality development of comprehensive transportation in the Chengdu-Chongqing region will be essentially established. By 2035, a more systematic, comprehensive, advanced, and adaptable standard system will be developed.

The construction of a standard system for the high-quality development of comprehensive transportation in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle is a valuable exploration in advancing regional standardization work and innovation.
