Established in September 2005, the Vocational Qualification Center of the Ministry of Transport is a specialized organization for vocational qualification in the transportation industry, and is entrusted by the Ministry of Transport to undertake the construction and implementation of the vocational qualification system in the transportation industry.

The Vocational Qualification Center of the Ministry of Transport is a bureau-level institution directly under the Ministry of Transport. It is in the charge of the Personnel and Labor Department of the Ministry. It undertakes the responsibilities of building and managing the vocational qualification system of the transportation industry, organizing the evaluation development of the vocational qualification of employees in the transportation industry, and exercising the functions of planning, organizing and coordinating the vocational qualification on behalf of the Ministry.
