Description

Hikvision implemented driver monitoring equipment installation and platform construction for Shenzhen Bus Group Co., Ltd./Shenzhen Eastern Bus Co., Ltd. Driver monitoring systems with intelligent analysis functions have been installed for 5,915 buses.

The active safety intelligent prevention and control system at the front end of the equipment includes the monitoring equipment, supporting management platforms, and wireless communication services of two application modules, namely DBA (driver behavior analysis) and ADAS (anti-collision and forward collision warning). The hardware monitoring equipment of DBA and ADAS is mainly composed of the equipment host, DBA camera of driver status monitoring system, ADAS camera of advanced assisted driving system, and active safety alarm reminder equipment. The supporting management platform provides alarm data storage, query, information processing, data statistical analysis and other functions. It realizes the front-end alarm for such behaviors of drivers as smoking, making phone calls, fatigue driving and distracted driving. The back-end platform implements efficient safety management for vehicles to improve the efficiency of operation and management.

Key Data

The number of buses installed the system in Shenzhen is 5,595; the number of data observations is 1,839; the accuracy rate of fatigue driving detection is 90%; the accuracy rate of distracted driving (not looking ahead for a long time) detection is 95%; and a total of 30 incidents of smoking in the cab and 13 incidents of abnormal behavior on the phone while driving were captured.

Status Quo/Progress

Completed in December 2022, the core technology is applied in Ningbo City. It is promoted in “bus brain: construction, intelligent travel, and industry application research and development incubation to empower the development of the bus industry in Ningbo.

The application of the monitoring equipment, supporting management platforms, and wireless communication services of two application modules, namely DBA (driver behavior analysis) and ADAS (anti-collision and forward collision warning), improves the safety of driving and efficiency of operation.
