The Foshan West Railway Station is one of the major passenger transport hubs in the Guangzhou-Foshan metropolitan area. It is the gateway for access to this area from the southwestern regions and facilitates transport to outer metropolitan areas. The Foshan West Railway Station is a comprehensive transport hub that promotes transit-oriented development (TOD) in this region. It not only serves to enhance traffic distribution, but also conveniently links business and industrial services, residences, cultural centers, and other types of entertainment. In addition, the station is the center of the west wing of the Guangzhou-Foshan metropolitan area and facilitates transit between residential and commercial/business areas. The Foshan West Railway Station and its adjacent region include business services, apartment, offices, hotel services and cultural and leisure facilities. Peripheral areas include residential communities, industrial services, and commercial facilities.
