The rapid growth of mobile Internet based on intelligent terminal provides new application methods and opportunities for the development of traffic information service. How to apply the mobile Internet technology and learn from their business mode and product idea to provide be valuable advices for the future construction of traffic information service system becomes a problem worth researching and discussing. The application of mobile Internet on urban traffic information service will make full use of the basic information and mobile Internet resource based on the combination of the traditional information service application and mobile application, and provide comprehensive information service for public, enterprise and management departments based on the market-oriented operation mode, so as to establish a dynamic and intelligent traffic information service system.

With the rapid growth of mobile Internet, the technology, business mode and product service concept behind it will bring transformation and innovation for urban traffic information service and promote the development of traffic information service.

The author introduced the traffic information service system of the opportunity mobile Internet, and how to satisfy the need of traffic management departments, enterprise and public traveler for traffic information service by releasing information through Internet based on big data. The author also took the traffic information service in Guangzhou as an example to display how the mobile Internet assists the traffic information service in Guangzhou.
