In the era of Internet and mobile Internet, the Internet has changed our life deeply. By June 2014, the size of China's Internet users has reached 632 million, ranked first all over the world. Among which, 527 million are the mobile Internet users, accounting for 84% of the Internet users. China has become an Internet superpower in the world during the past 20 years. How to apply Internet thought to assist the Smart Transportation is an important issue currently.

The author made a case analysis by introducing the first domestic Dynamic Road Condition Information Service System and Real-time Public Transportation Service System developed by BTIC with independent intellectual property rights from three aspects including on-call service, traffic information service and car sharing. In addition, the author introduced the top-level design of Beijing’s Smart Transportation and thought about the Internet-based transportation era, which needs to apply the Internet thought to modify the technology structure, propel the mode innovation, and diversify the traffic information service.
